Abies nordmanniana Golden Spreader
R.H.S. Award Winner. A beautiful dwarf form with bright, golden-yellow, needle-like foliage. A slow growing, low spreading, conifer that forms a compact bush - after some years as a dwarf bush, a leader will form and rear itself up and then it can reach as much as 8m, (this can be cut off to prevent it becoming pyramidal). Neutral to acid soil. Slightly susceptible to sunburn in extremely sunny locations. Sun to part-shade. 1m in 10 years, ultimate 5-6m.
