Common name:  Balsam Fir

R.H.S. Award Winner. A slow-growing, dwarf conifer of flattened to globose habit. It has smooth grey bark and dark green, needle-like foliage with light green new spring growth, which are semi-spirally arranged. This plant doesn't produce cones and it makes a low regular shaped cushion, having very short, plumply arrayed branches. Great for the rockery, an alpine container or the front of the border. Best in a sunny location with well-drained, more lime-tolerant than the species. Reaches 60cm x60cm
